Elga Sã was born from my deep love for my homeland. From a very young age, I always knew I would become an entrepreneur — I just didn’t know yet which path would make my soul shine. That’s when I started to look within — to my roots, to the strength of my ancestors… and I saw the immense richness carried by my country: cacao.

 

With pride, we develop our products in Diogo Vaz — a region rich in culture and fertile lands. Our star ingredient is cocoa from São Tomé and Príncipe, internationally awarded and recognised as the finest in the world, not only for its exceptional quality but also for the history and strength of its people.

Often called the "Gold of the Land", cacao is more than just a fruit — it is a symbol of our strength, our culture, and our history. I remembered the cacao plantations of Diogo Vaz, the green forests, the harvest season, the sound of the pods cracking… the hard work and the joy in the faces of my people.

It was there, between sweat and smiles, that I found the perfect link: cacao and beauty. From that union, my very first product was born — a lip balm crafted with care, tradition, and innovation.

And so, Elga Sã came to life: a brand that carries ancestry, the strength of the Black woman, and the beauty that blossoms from our origins. Product by product, I continue creating cosmetics inspired by nature, culture, and genuine skin care.

I am Elga Paquete, founder of Elga Sã. And my purpose is clear: to take my brand to every corner of the world. I want the beauty that comes from our land to be globally recognised. I want to reach the top — not for vanity, but for representation. To show that it is possible. That we can. And we will.
